Supporting families with a twinless twin or multiples
What We Do
Twin boxes
A twin box will help you support your twinless twin or multiple. A tool to help you talk to your child about their twin or triplet or quad siblings. A place the survivor(s) can place items that reminds them of their twin or triplet so they can start a conversation when they need it most.
Post natal doula
I have finished my training to be a post natal doula and wish to focus on supporting twinless twin families. Making the journey of raising one without the other a little easier. I remember lying in bed with my survivor bouncing all over me but unable to move. I don't want anyone to feel that alone. This service will be available face 2 face around Nuneaton/Hinckley area or remote sessions can be booked too. Please contact me for more details. I am DBS checked, fully insured.
Chloe's story
Chloe was born at 1.53pm on December 4th 2017, 1 minute after her twin sister Emelia. Chloe didn't make a peep when she was born and was whisked away for help. My partner noticed that her legs were twisted. Around 9pm we got to meet Chloe and I fell in love immediately. She was perfectly imperfect, later became known as our wonky girl. She had a condition that made her muscles contract. At 2 days old Chloe stopped breathing but thankfully successfully resuscitated. We were already waiting to be transferred to Birmingham children's hospital but this incident meant she was transferred that day. Once at Birmingham she had multiple tests and a couple of minor operations. The care at Birmingham was incredible and they did everything for us not just the medical care. They were really good at ensuring Chloe got twin time with Emelia and would snuggle them up together. After about 4 weeks Chloe's breathing deteriorated and was more reliant on a ventilator. The list of her problems was also growing. We were so lucky to spend Christmas with Chloe. She got to meet Santa and make us Christmas cards. We also got to christen the twins together. It was so important to make these memories with our girls. At 7 weeks and 1 day we had to remove Chloe's ventilator. For what should have been the worst days of our lives was also beautiful. Making more memories without medical restrictions and being a normal twin family. That day we also got to bring Chloe home for the first time and show her around her home and nursery. Chloe is part of our everyday lives and walks next to her twin sister forever.
